Get to Know Me

My name is Beth Hill and I am a psychodynamically oriented Clinical Social Worker and Personal Coach. I work in person and online via Zoom and speak both Hebrew and English.

For the past 25 years I have been a partner in the Hadar Institute where I am responsible for the Therapy Division and Supervision.

In the course of my work I support people who are struggling in various areas of life. My areas of expertise include overcoming low self esteem and the anxieties that can stand in the way of personal growth. I also work with motivation and decision making problems, life transitions, couple and relationship issues (including Polyamorous relationships). In addition, I help people overcome mild depression, grief and anxiety including perfectionism, fear of failure and social and performance anxiety.

My professional philosophy is based on a belief that within each of us are unique strengths. I believe that through a containing, empathetic and caring therapeutic relationship, which includes an understanding of underlying processes and providing them with the right tools and strategies, people will grow, achieve their full potential and live a happier and more fulfilling life.

My Services

Individual Therapy and Coaching

Therapy:

In my therapeutic work, I strive to balance a focus on helping people gain insight into the impact of their past while working on their present problems, including beliefs, thoughts, and behavior patterns. I help people gain freedom from patterns that no longer serve them and empower them to connect to their strengths. Therapy provides skills to understand and change unhelpful thoughts and behavior, regulate emotions, and foster growth in order to achieve greater personal fulfillment.

Coaching:

Leadership Coaching is aimed at personal empowerment for managers and senior managers who are in roles or for applicants. Coaching focuses on strengthening the manager's or applicant's skills and abilities. The aim of coaching is to identify any barriers that may be impeding the leader or applicant from optimal performance. The client will gain an understanding of what their barriers are and of how they impact their professional, interpersonal, and personal development. Coaching enables clients to develop a set of professional tools to address their challenges and achieve their goals.

My Goal:

My goals in working with people are to help people truly understand who they are as well as what is holding them back, while helping them to connect to their unique potential.

In my work, I am an active listener and provide an empathetic, validating, non-judgemental environment, as I believe it is vital that people feel deeply heard and understood. I am caring, compassionate, and fully committed to the therapy or coaching process.

Relationship and Couple Therapy

Do you feel like your relationship is at a crisis point? Crisis is often a time for deep reflection as well as an opportunity for growth. During these times people can experience frustration and loneliness.

In relationship and couple therapy I help couples gain insight in to their difficulties, their origin in each person's history, and the way in which these manifest in the relationship. This work occurs in the context of improving communication, strengthening attachment, connection, and intimacy. Relationship therapy offers you tools to address problems such as arguments, anger and frustration, feeling unsupported and misunderstood. Therapy focuses on increasing empathy, support, intimacy, and understanding as well as encouraging independence and self-expression within the relationship.

I am a Polyamory-Friendly therapist, focussed on working with people who identify as consensually non-monogamous and are perhaps encountering problems in this context. I work also with those who are in the process of opening their marriage or their long-term committed relationship, as well as with those who are at the stage of thinking about it.

Polyamory Friendly therapy focuses on bringing to light the difficulties that can arise in the process of opening up a relationship. It also provides the couple with tools to open the relationship and ensure their relationship stays healthy and strong.
